Affiliate Disclosure.

BuyerBench is funded through affiliate commissions. This page explains exactly how that works and why it doesn’t compromise our recommendations.

As an Amazon Associate, BuyerBench earns from qualifying purchases.
The short version

Honest, in one paragraph.

When you buy something through a link on BuyerBench, we may earn a small commission from the retailer. This doesn’t cost you anything extra. Our recommendations are based on merit, not commission rates.

How affiliate links work.

When you click a product link on BuyerBench and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the retailer — typically between 1% and 10%, depending on the product category.

This commission comes from the retailer’s margin, not from you. You pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer’s website.

Typical commission rates.

Commission rates vary by retailer and category. Here are some typical examples:

Electronics 3%
Computers 2.5%
Outdoors 7%
Sports 5%

On a £100 USB-C dock, for example, we would typically earn around £3 if you purchase through our link.

How this affects our recommendations.

It doesn’t.

We recommend products because we believe they’re the best options in their category, not because they pay higher commissions. If a product with a 2% commission rate is better than one with a 10% rate, we’ll recommend the 2% product.

Our editorial process is entirely separate from our commercial relationships. We do not accept payment from brands to feature or recommend products, and we do not adjust rankings based on commission rates.

How to spot an affiliate link.

All external product links on BuyerBench are affiliate links unless otherwise stated.

These include:

  • “See Today’s Price” buttons
  • Product name links within our reviews
  • Links in comparison tables
  • Links in verdict sections

Every page containing affiliate links includes a disclosure notice at the top, like this:

Affiliate disclosure: BuyerBench earns a small commission if you buy via links on this page — at no extra cost to you. Our picks are chosen independently.
Our Commitment

Editorial independence, always.

  • We will never recommend a product we don’t believe in.
  • We will never hide a product’s flaws because we earn commission from it.
  • We will always tell you who a product is not right for.
  • We will update recommendations when better options become available.
